Our Mission
The Zoey Cares Foundation is committed to promoting supportive health care by organizing, funding and operating music therapy programs for children who are patients in hospitals across Canada.
Our Goals
We believe that music has the power to help in healing.
In fact, in ancient China, one of the earliest uses of music was healing. They believed that music had the power to restore the soul in ways that traditional medicine could not.
The Zoey Cares Foundation is providing some joy, if even just a bit, for those children who are facing some of the toughest challenges in their lives.
Zoey’s Story

Zoey was born on March 13, 2018. Younger sister to Lily and Adrian, Zoey was the final addition to close out the D’Ippolito family of five. Sadly, Zoey spent 10 months, of the 11.5 months of her life, as an inpatient at a specialized children’s hospital in Ontario. Despite the numerous procedures and interventions, often painful and invasive, she never let it get her down. She always had a smile, was always ready for a cuddle and especially LOVED her music therapy sessions. Other than her family snuggles, they were the highlight of her week!
Zoey passed away on March 2, 2019. Despite the immense grief and loss, we knew that we, as her parents, had to honour her legacy. The legacy of a little girl who never gave up, never complained, was full of love and healed her soul through the shake of her maracas.
Our little pineapple princess wore her crown with pride, and was truly sweet on the inside. She gave so much joy, love and hope to others, and she will continue to do so through this, The Zoey Cares Foundation.
