Meet Our Team:
Pam D’Ippolito, Co-Founder,
President
As a Registered Veterinary Technician focused on emergency/critical care and rescue work, Pam has always seen the importance of optimizing quality of life in the animal patients she cared for. Once she had children, this dedication and passion naturally extended to them as well!
When Zoey was born, Pam dedicated her time to supporting her youngest child. She worked closely with Zoey’s medical team to learn, strategize, and implement supplemental therapies that promoted healing and for Zoey to thrive in an otherwise stressful environment. Music became one of those therapies. The enrichment it added to not only Zoey but those around her, was immeasurable.
After Zoey’s death, Pam and Spencer knew that Zoey’s life could inspire healing in others because of how positive, beautiful and joyful Zoey’s experience was with her musical therapy program. Thus, The Zoey Cares Foundation was born!
Pam now dedicates her time and energy running the foundation as well as supporting others through the challenges in their lives through mindset mentoring.
Pam is currently writing a book about Zoey’s journey and the lessons she learned.
Spencer D’Ippolito, Co-Founder,
Vice President
Once of Spencer’s life goals has always been to make children happy. From a young age, there was always ‘a way about him’ that made all the kids flock to his arms! In his professional life, Spencer dedicates his time leading a team of individuals in the sales field. His positive and personable attitude has made him a natural in this role for over 15 years.
Once the work day is done, however, he looks forward to coming home and focusing on his family. Even when Zoey was home, his dedication never faltered. Typically, Spencer would arrive from work, spend the evening with Lily and Adrian, and once they were asleep, would go to the hospital to spend the night with Zoey. His children are his life!
In discussions with Pam on how to best honour Zoey’s life, Spencer knew it had to be something that would shine light and spark joy in the lives of children. He couldn’t stop thinking about the sheer strength of the inpatients he would see, and how wonderful it would be to give them something, to just be kids, to have fun! And music was the answer.
In working with The Zoey Cares Foundation, Spencer is able to combine the love for his children with his natural instinct to bring joy to their lives. He is currently focusing on the creative aspect by conceptualizing and implementing fun ways to fundraise, to maximize donations, and deliver the support the foundation provides.
